We took a fall trip to Yellowstone again this year. My sister Fran joined me for the first week and Lori was able to join me for the second week. The trip had variable, but generally warm weather. The elk were largely absent, but we did see a few distant bulls with harems. Other wildlife was pretty abundant, but as is often the case in Yellowstone, they were pretty distant.

On our way to the Lamar Valley, we came upon a black bear near the Yellowstone Picnic Area. We stopped there on the way to the Lamar Valley and on the way back from the Lamar Valley and I took many shots. The light was poor and the bear was mostly hidden by grass, brush and timber. It was a beautiful bear!
