We took a fall trip to Yellowstone again this year. My sister Fran joined me for the first week and Lori was able to join me for the second week. The trip had variable, but generally warm weather. The elk were largely absent, but we did see a few distant bulls with harems. Other wildlife was pretty abundant, but as is often the case in Yellowstone, they were pretty distant.

We drove to various places along the Madison River looking for elk. There were no elk to be found, but we did come across a wonderful group of bluebirds. I was able to get a few shots of them before they flew away.
