I went to RMNP over Labor Day weekend to see the sights and work on my wildlife photography. The elk were not very cooperative and the ones that were close enought to take pictures of mostly had collars or ear tags. Still, I had a great time and used the experience to hone my wildlife skills. Mostly I just reminded myself of what I need to do better next time. I camped at Timber Creek, which has been clearcut because of beetle kill. It is currently not a very desirable campground, but had plenty spaces available.
