Lori and I spent three weeks in Yellowstone this fall. We were joined by Vic and Christie Fickes for the first few days. The first day was sunny and the we had 3 days of cold rain. After that, the weather cleared and was unseasonably warm until the last few days of the trip.

We tried hiking the Mary Mountain Trail, but were thwarted by the many buffalo there. We went around the ones we could (at a safe distance), but we were unable to avoid the main herd. It turned out the be a short but very enjoyable hike.
