Lori and I spent three weeks in Yellowstone this fall. We were joined by Vic and Christie Fickes for the first few days. The first day was sunny and the we had 3 days of cold rain. After that, the weather cleared and was unseasonably warm until the last few days of the trip.

Starting from the Madison Campground, we followed the Madison River watching elk. Lori carried the tripod and I carried the camera in my lap in the wheelchair. We watched and photographed the elk for about 5 hours. It was magnificent.
