Lori and I visited Santa Fe, NM for several days and then drove to the Grand Canyon, where we spent a week camping. The weather in Santa Fe was wonderful, but it turned the day we left. A massive storm moved across the southwest and there were tremendous, prolonged rains at the Grand Canyon.

We arrived at the Grand Canyon at dusk and set up camp in a torrential downpoor. We got so wet and cold that we decided to find a hotel for that night. We stayed in various hotels 3 nights of our week in the Grand Canyon.

While the rain was a challenge, it provided wonderful atmospherics for viewing and photographing the canyon. We had a wonderful time and were able to spend some great moments with desert big horn sheep.
