Lori, Ginger, and I took a week-long summer trip to Yellowstone. Fran joined us for the last four days. We had a wonderful time and saw amazing signts. The wildlife was surprisingly active, with sightings of bears, wolf, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, eagles, osprey, etc.
That afternoon, we picked up Fran at the West Yellowstone Airport. The next day, we returned to the Lamar Valley, where we had a nice (but buggy) picnic lunch at Ice Box Canyon Picnic Area. There was a colony of uinta ground squirrels there and I was able to take some shots of them. They were very cooperative.
