Lori and I took our spring trip to Yellowstone a bit later this year, hoping for a bit drier weather and to be there when more of the trails opened for the season.
This picture was taken when we visited Steamboat 40 hours after an eruption. It was still in steam phase, with steam to over 100 feet at times.
There was a lone sandhill crane in the large meadow at Fountain Flats. It was quite closeto the road so we stoppedto watch it and I took a few pictures.
