Lori and I took our spring trip to Yellowstone a bit later this year, hoping for a bit drier weather and to be there when more of the trails opened for the season.

I made it Steamboat Geyser about 30 minutes before a major eruption. I was able to see the pre-eruptive behavior and then watch it erupt. It is an experience I will never forget!

There was a lone sandhill crane in the large meadow at Fountain Flats. It was quite closeto the road so we stoppedto watch it and I took a few pictures.
