Lori and I went to Yellowstone for our annual spring trip.
We went for a great day of wildlife watching in the Hayden Valley. We saw Bald Eagle, Grizzly Bear, Elk, Buffalo, Great Blue Heron, Pelican, and River Otter.
On our way back to the campsite at Madison Junction, we spotted a Grizzly Bear sow and cub just north of Elk Meadow. We pulled over at Elk Meadow and set up, hoping they would come toward us. They did and we spent about 45 minutes watching and taking pictures of the bears.
To me, the sow appeared to be in the process of kicking the cub out. It kept pushing the cub farther and farther away. When we left, the cub was a half mile away from the sow and continuing to walk away from the sow.
