I took my annual fall trip to Yellowstone. I was gone 2 weeks. Lori was with me for the first week, and when she left Fran joined me along with Greg Chandler for 3 days. I spent the remainder there by myself. Weather was great and wildlife watching was the best ever.

Lori and I drove toward the east end of the Lamar Valley where we had been told there was a bull moose. At Soda Butte Creek, we found a wolf feeding on an elk they had killed the night before. It was a spectacular experience. What amazing creatures. The alpha female fed extensively, but we never saw the alpha male actually feed on the carcas.
