Lori and I took a long spring trip of 5 weeks to Yellowstone National Park. It was our first trip with our new-to-us trailer.. Getting everything ready for the trip was exciting, but we finally departed for Yellowstone on April 30 and arrived in Yellowstone May 1. We stayed at Madison campground.

That evening I went for a drive looking for wildlife to photograph. I struck out in all the usual places, so returned to Otter Creek to see if ther ewas any action at the carcas. There was! A grizzly and the alpha male wolf o fthe Canyon pack were both at the carcas feeding on it.

The grizzly and wolf were not getting along well and eventually got into a bit of a fight. It was very exciting to watch at close range (about 150 yards), but the light was very poor.
