Lori and took our annual spring trip to Yellowstone. We were joined by Jean and Honani Polequaptewa, who we had not spent time with in over 10 years. We had a very pleasant trip, despite the cold, rainy, and snowy weather. There was abundant wildlife and the thermal features were wonderful to view with Jean and Honani.

One morning after breakfast I wandered from the campsite down to the Madison River where I saw a herd of buffalo cows with fairly new calves. While taking pictures of them, I saw many different birds, including canada geese, bluebirds, a common sandpiper, an osprey, and a great blue heron.
