Lori and I took a 4-week, fall trip to Yellowstone. We were concerned about the smoke from the fires and the fact that the Maple fire might interfere with our plans to camp at the Madison campground. It rained and snowed the first three days of the trip, which really reduced the threat from the fires.

Lori and I took an evening drive over Dunraven Pass to Little America. We found a group of bighorn sheep ewes and lambs across the road from the Yellowstone Picnic Area. The light was wonderful, but they were all in the shade.
