Lori and I took our annual spring trip to Yellowstone. We had wonderful weather and truly enjoyed the trip. We saw a lot of wildlife, but most of it was at distances too far for meaningful photograph

The wildlife variety and behavior was great to watch.

On my birthday, we stoped by Elk Meadow in the morning to see if the wolf was back at the elk carcass. It was! The shooting conditions were much better, but the wolf was still a long distance from the camera!

It was spectacular to spend the morning with this wolf. Later in the day, a wolf person looked at the pictures and said it was a daughter of the canyon pack..probably 3 or 4 years old.
